Cllr. Michael Conaghan - Tireless on behalf of his community. Michael Conaghan has been active in local Labour politics for 25 years, 19 as an elected Labour councillor on Dublin City Council. He served as Lord Mayor in 2004/2005 & during his time he prioritised policing & community safety. His Lord Mayors commission on Crime & Policing proved to be most influential. It set down the Council's responsibility for tackling antisocial behaviour in cooperation with the Gardai & the community. Also,as mayor he launched & led the successful campaign to reopen Bewley's Cafe in Grafton street- a key part of old dublin Heritage.
